What are credits and how do they work?
Each Pro translation uses 1 credit. A Pro subscription gives you 200 credits per month, which reset on the first of each month. Credits are used for cloud OCR and translation operations. Local OCR (Free tier) doesn't use credits.
Can I use Pro on multiple devices?
Yes! Your Pro subscription is tied to your license key. Install Illuminate on any Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave) and enter your license key to unlock Pro features.
How does the seamless overlay work?
Our intelligent inpainting technology analyzes the surrounding image area and fills the text region with matching textures and patterns. The translated text is then overlaid seamlessly, making it appear as if it was originally written in your target language.
Is my data secure?
Absolutely. Your images and translations are processed securely and automatically deleted after completion. We never store your data or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What languages are supported?
Pro supports translation between 30+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and many more.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your Polar account dashboard. You'll continue to have Pro access until the end of your billing period. After cancellation, you'll revert to the Free tier with local OCR only.
